For those of us who use their computers for actual work, and not merely emailing photos, downloading songs and browsing the Web (the only activities Apple really cares to support, I've come to believe), Apple's fancy innovations some at a considerable cost. This is a lesson I've learned repeatedly over my 20+ years as a Mac user.
